Do philippine elders resent Mexicans?

They resented Spaniards because they colonized them harshly. Many of the Spaniards who lived in the Philippines were actually of Mexican nationality but of European descent. The Philippines were part of New Spain which was a Spanish Colony that stretched from the Caribbean to the Philippines and was everything north of Panama. Its capital was Mexico City so the people who ruled the Philippines were actually from Mexico. Do they resent us? or do they only resent the European looking Mexicans like me?
