How harshly will the real god judge me for not believing in the hateful and bigoted version of himself?

You know, the one which religions told me about, some unreasonable jerk who tortures people infinitely for finite crimes, most of which aren't even crimes? All the while insisting he is benevolent, loving and good. Do you think he will understand why I didn't believe in such a horrible god?
