I really like this guy but i have a bad situation?

ok this is kind of weird but i like this guy and we been seeing each other since little kids, we go to church together, and we went to elementary school together, but when we were little, we HATED each other and every time we saw each other we swear at each other and gave the dirtiest looks you can imagine (and trust me these are not flirting signals). then when we were both in 6th grade, he transferred, which was a good thing when i was little, and i never saw him again until we saw each other this year. We are now senors in high school (but not the same h.s.) but we see each other in church. now i have a huge crush on him, and i think he has a crush on me because we are now talking, and when i gave him a handshake, he's like "no i want a hug", so he pulls my arm toward him and we both gave each other a hug. we all ways gave each other hugs and smile at each other. should i tell him i like him or wait a bit?
