Will simply washing in a washer machine and drying in a dryer get rid of mold off clothing.?

i got egg on my sweatshirt and sweatpants and tried to spray some water on it before i threw it in the wash. at the time the laundry was full so i put them in a garbage bag and tied it closed. i forgot about them for about 4 days and today when i remembered i opened the bag and the clothes were heavily infested with a mold/fungus.. would putting them in the washer/dryer be the solution to getting rid of this mold
